Windows 10: Forgot email but remember Gamertag

This is my second time asking for help in these forums so hopefully someone knows something.


Shortly explained: I forgot my email i used to create my microsoft/xbox account and now i cant find it anymore. I've heard that you can log in using gamertag on the xbox console. I do not have the console and i'm on windows 10.

I have a credit card statement from my bank which may help out to prove that i am the owner of the account.

Do not send me a link to your help center because none of the features there can help me in my situation.


I've made purchases and signicant progress on the account so it would be great to get it back.

Hi Fiona,

The email address that you used to create your child's Xbox Live account should be the same as the email address that you will use to log in on Windows 10. Once you are logged in to the same email address, it will show the same Xbox Profile, gamerscore and
achievements.

To better assist you with your concern, please clarify the following information:

• Is there an email address attached to your child's account on the Xbox 360?
• Did you create a new Microsoft Account or email address for the Child account online?

If the child account on Xbox 360 is not attached to an email address, follow the steps on this

link to connect an offline profile to a Microsoft Account and join Xbox Live.

If it is already connected to an email address in your Xbox 360, you can go to this

link and follow the steps to change the email.

Email clients not remembering passwords

Hi all

A friends computer will not remember his gmail password. He used to use outlook, and seeing that I use thunderbird and it would be easier to troubleshoot I installed that for him. Now that was working for a few weeks, and now the same problem is occuring.

We are 100% sure the password is correct, as we can access the email account through webmail, but the local clients will not remember the correct password. Of course the 'Remember password' button is checked, but still no good.

It returns with incorrect password.

Any suggestions?
