Windows 10: forgot, email, password window 10

I would appreciate very much if someone know a lil easy way to figure out my computer been lock out a week, I try everything so many times,I try ask help since I'm not real good at technology. But I wana keep trying, don't wana quit pull plug put back in box but its taking all my energy failing @ something 60 times or more. I can get in on wifi or internet. but it says put new password in and it says I put wrong one, then they will send to email, I can't remove what that is either, I have lot stuff written down and all numbers, letters look all mix up overwhelming. Forgot Windows 10 password...

So I fired up my laptop in order to use it to flash a router without mucking around with the rest of my networking... and I forgot the password to log in. Is there anything I can do short of reinstalling windows, or downloading a Linux LiveCD? (If I do have to download something, I'd prefer the file size to be as small as possible, because of evil data caps)

Forgot Windows 10 password...

For future reference, there have been reports that this was patched out several weeks back. I found an alternative method doing some registry diving.
