Windows 10: Forgot password

The last time that I shut down my HP surface pro laptop , I’m not sure what happened but when I went to reboot back up again the next day it asked me for the password and I’ve never use the password because I use facial recognition or the four digit pin code that I created for the windows hello sign in , so therefore ; I don’t have the password to get into the Windows program.

I was reading your reply to the previous problem that the gentleman was having with his recovery pin code not his sign in pin code and I’m having a likewise issue.

For some reason or another my HP surface pro go is only turning onto the blue screen asking for the recovery code. I have a recovery ID but no way to translate it into a recovery code. I don’t have a USB flash drive back up to start it from and the system will not reset. I went into my Microsoft account through my iPhone and it generated a new recovery code but it’s not allowing me to enter the recovery ID , it only wants a code of numeric values. I have the code but it doesn’t allow me to input in the space available for the recovery code it does not allow me to input letters.

Could you help please?

you know when you boot up your computer... and yeha i have more than one account and I forgot the password to one of them.

is there anyway for me to get in to the account? or the account will be perminant lock if i dont remember password?
