Windows 10: Forgotten Lenovo Password

Hi, I have forgotten my laptop password and cannot log back in, its been a few months now. I recently tried to create a Password reset disk from another computer via a usb drive and when I plug in the usb to my locked laptop and try to reset the password I get this Message *An error occured while wizard was attempting to set the password for this user account*. I am lost, I really need to access my laptop for work. Please help!!!
