Windows 10: Forgotten Password!!

Hello folks!!

It has been a while since I have been here. My days of providing advice are over, since a couple of strokes took care of them. This time would like to be at the recipient end, and ask for some help from the Windows10 team I consider the best. *Wink


Have a person (82 yrs old) who does not remember the password than needs to be entered at the lock screen on the laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 320). Needless to say she can go nowhere in the computer.


Thought about the Password Reset Disk, and decided to give it a try. However, at Step 7, the current user account password is needed. This person does not have a clue what it is. If this info is left blank, a wrong password prompt appears.


I am trying to figure out what to do to help the individual, but it has turned out into a guessing game.


Any help is greatly appreciated.
