    Forgotten product key.


    Hello,

    I am writing in order to know if it is possible to recover my Windows 10 product key, as I can see the computer linked into my account but the product key in purchases is not shown. I believe that it is due to that it was an upgrade from a Windows 7. I hope that Microsoft does not have a problem to provide it.

    I thought about installing the Windows 7 to do an upgrade afterwards, I have been told that the servers to upgrade to Windows 10 are still working. The problem to do this is that I miss only one digit from the license label and I cannot sort it out.


    Forgot to mention that the phone number that the website provides to speak with someone, does not exist. 52 05 11 51.


    Can Microsoft help me?

    Where is my Product Key if I want to re-install?


    Like davidhk said. But if you really want to see your windows key, I would suggest Belarc advisor. It will give you some useful information about your system, product keys of your software is among them (not only Microsoft, you will have listed most of your keys).

    i know the product id but forget the product key

    Hello,





    There is still a way to search for your product key. Kindly follow the steps below for you to know your product key:



    • Press Windows key + X
    • Click Command Prompt (admin)
    • Enter the following command: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
    • Then hit Enter
    The product key will be revealed, copy the product key then enter it.

    Give us an update on what happens.
