  1. Formating CD for Old Standalone Player

I downloaded a voice interview from the Internet.

I am using audio CD's for transferring the file from the computer.

First I converted the downloaded file to .mp3. It played okay on my computer using VLC. It would not play on my old standalone player.

So I converted it to .wav. Same problems.

Audacity shows that it has two tracks.

I listen to CD's on the standalone player all the time.

It readily plays .mp3's from educational books.

Does anybody have any clues as to what might be going on?

    Thanks for any guidance.

    :)

I Tried That But some times the CD/DVD player is not listed. If I shut down the computer completely and restart using the root directory the CD/DVD player will be there then I can use the CD/DVD player. But if I do something else then try to use CD/DVD player
it will not be listed I get a no device found error. Then I must shut off the computer again and restart. I can not just push restart because the CD/DVD player will not be listed.
