Windows 10: Forza Horizon 4 PC will not sync

I am having problems syncing Forza Horizon 4 on my pc. the game doesn't crash, just doesn't sync.

The game loads, and starts the sync, SYNCING DATA - WE SHOULD BE DONE SOON...some time goes by at which point an error occurs and the sync stops. the pop-up window has this message. LOAD FAILED. AN UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURRED. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER. The game then goes back to the Welcome screen. You can try to Sync again but the same message occurs.

I have reset the app, deleted and reinstalled. All Windows Updates are installed. My Xbox Console Companion app works as does the Store.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...it's been a week now and I would dearly like to resume playing, as I have 400hrs in-game, about 200 miliion credits and all Star Cards, and all the DLC's and Businesses etc completed.

Forza Horizon 4 will not unistall

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I'd suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Click on Start menu, and look for Forza Horizon 4. Right click on it and select
Uninstall.

You can also uninstall the game through settings by following the below steps.

1. Press Windows key + I together to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps > Apps & features.

3. Click on Forza Horizon 4.

4. Select Uninstall.

Let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's fixed.
