Windows 10: Forza Horizon 4 won't resume just starts download from the beginning if connection is lost...

Hi there,

Well, now I'm into 3rd day of downloading FH4 and don't know how many more days it will take. Each of these days iv'e downloaded about 15to17 gb of the game but it all vanished when either i paused and resume the downloading or the PC shutsdown due to power failure. And I've taken every measure that was suggested in this very MS Community but no result.


Now about Downloading Speed, i have an internet connection of 12Mb/sec. And the downloading speed i got is about 2 to 3 Mb/sec in MS Store, while downloading game I noticed, that the microsoft store app showed more downloading speed than the actual. However, i calculated actual download progress was more in the area of 300-400 KBs/sec.

Now I've started to wonder is it better to download a pirate version from Torrent or a paid original from actual store which won't let me download the game. FFS

Forza Horizon 4 Download won`t stop

Hi I have the same problem like a lot of people too: my forza download just won`t stop its size is 62GB and i allready downloaded 140GB.

I cant even find an option to restart the download or something. How do I fix this?

I tried things like troubleshooter, wsreset, sign out sign in and a lot more, nothing helped.

 

Downloading Forza Horizon 4 stuck at "Starting Download"

Hi all. I'm trying to download Horizon 4 via Game Pass from the Microsoft Store. If I download the "Forza Horizon 4 Standard Edition", it gets stuck at "Acquiring License" infinitely and the downloads list shows Horizon 4 as "Starting Download", and if
I try just downloading the app just called "Forza Horizon 4", it stays stuck at "Starting Download".

These are the things I've tried:

In-Place Windows Upgrade to fix my install

WSReset.exe

Terminating and Resetting Microsoft Store app

Re-registering Windows Store through Powershell

sfc /scannow (No problems detected)

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth (No problems detected)

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth (No problems detected)

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (No problems detected)

Stopping Windows Update service

Stopping wuauserv and BITS and clearing SoftwareDistribution

Resetting network settings

Running Tweaking.com’s Windows Repair tool

Windows Store troubleshooter (No problems detected)

Performing a Clean Boot

Logging out of and into MS Account

And yes, no updates are currently available for my PC.

 

Forza Horizon 4 will not unistall

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I'd suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Click on Start menu, and look for Forza Horizon 4. Right click on it and select
Uninstall.

You can also uninstall the game through settings by following the below steps.

1. Press Windows key + I together to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps > Apps & features.

3. Click on Forza Horizon 4.

4. Select Uninstall.

Let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's fixed.
