    Found some hidden folders with random letters in ProgramData on C:


    I was just checking through my program data for deleting something, and that's when I found 4 hidden folders, each with short, random letters, and they have nothing inside. Are these folders created by malware? Can I delete them?

    ProgramData-filder backup

    Hi,

    The ProgramData folder is usually located in the C: drive of your device. To locate the ProgramData folder, you can perform the following:

    • In File Explorer, click on the View tab.
    • Click on Options.
    • In the Folder Options window, click on the View tab.
    • Under the Hidden files and folders, select Show hidden files, folders, or drives.
    • Click on Apply.
    • Click on OK.

    Hidden folders

    I installed `Kane and Lynch` on my PC twice in Program Files(x86) folder but I can`t find them (2 folders with game). But free space on my HDD is lower. So there`re those folders on my hdd. I use option `unhide` hidden folders but still can`t find them. Any suggestions? How can i delete those hidden folders?

    When I run istallation for this game I can see those folders in Program Files(x86) folde.

    I`m using Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
