    Freezing and shutdown issues.


    Hello everyone,

    Two days ago my house experienced a blackout, since then my computer experiences frequent freezing and today a crash or something that caused a unexpected shut down. I understand that when power is cut from a computer issues can arise, in this case, most likely hardware issues.


    Freezing and the shutdown seem to be caused by certain conditions. I've identified that running multiple tabs on Firefox causes this the most. One time causes are using Cortana and Norton.


    I have run a number of thing before coming here. SFC, DISM, disc check for errors and disc defragmentation. No Issues found so far. Here are the reports on my computer from the Reliability Monitor program on Windows 10.

    Random freezes or shut downs

    Completely random freezing/shutdowns on a system with no recent hardware changes, and hard drive, memory, and PSU fine, usually means a software issue (file corruption or malicious software). I suggest following DavidV's recommendations.

    Windows 10 freezing on shutdown

    This issue has not been resolved yet. I followed most of your steps and the computer still freezes on shutdown randomly. I will continue troubleshooting. Should I finally figure this problem out, I will let you know.
