  1. Frequent BSOD on new machine

    Hello,

I have recently acquired new computer. However, I have come across the issue that it keeps getting blue screen of death once in a while. Sometimes it happens while I am changing something in settings, sometimes it happens when using Firefox, sometimes it happens when playing a game.

I tried reinstalling Win 10, updating GPU drivers or using older GPU drivers, updating Windows or not updating Windows, but nothing seemed to help.
I noticed that this issue happens more often when using new 2560 x 1440p screen. After I switched to the older 1920x1080p screen, the issue seemed to happen much less often, albeit still much more frequently than I would like roughly once every few hours.

I performed memory check and no troubles appeared.

Some of the errors I got are:
    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED,
    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED,
    SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION failed win32kful.sys
    SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION failed dxgkrnl.sys

    Minidumps are here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Akk2jeo3NS5ygsZHghjgiek_14ZM9Q?e=Ju419q
    MEMORY.DMP is here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Akk2jeo3NS5ygsZI9E0NlLCyVCvUgg?e=izht1m

Can I please get an advice on how to proceed? Thank you very much.

    Best Regards, Kristian

    :)

  2. Frequent BSODs

I got frequent BSOD (once/twice daily) and is quite annoying.

Using bluscreenview to analyse the minidumps, it shows that the ntoskrnl.exe is the faulting module.

This is a new machine I acquired recently.

Initially I had hardware hangs and the system board and wifi module has been replaced and no longer hangs.

The machine was completely reinstalled with Windows 10 USB image. Since then I have BSODs every day/half-day.

    Any help ?

    Frequent BSOD on new machine

Frequent and random appearing BSOD 'internal power error'.

    Update:
    I did steps 6 and 7:

BIOS reset. I choose the 'optimized defaults':

And then I did steps 8 through 11.

Next step is the memtest86+. I created a bootable DVD, and tested if it works. (It does.) I plan these memory-tests the coming nights.
However, I can't see how I can test every SDRAM module separately. How do I do that?

(NB: After closing my game yesterday, I got the first BSOD in weeks, with a (new) message: "reference by pointer".)
