fresh install of windows 10 on tablet

hi there.a have a airis winpad 81w tablet... i;being so stupid*Sick; went and made a clean install of windows 10, and erase all of the partitions; to gain so me more space. and make the windows to create all the partitions. all good. but the windows cant complete the install on the last part*Mad. i them go to diskpart to see the partititons and i have 2 partitions whit "hidden" attibutes- sistem and recovery partitions. i think that the problem. if the partitions are hidden, are windows able to write on them? or maybe something on bios that hide that partitions?

    :)

fresh install of win10 on tablet - conflict of bluetooth and touch drivers

have not tried it yet... would prefer to have quick install as I am worried about possibility of malware on the pre installed windows... will try it tonight if all else fails...

One hack could be to have a script that delay loading the bluetooth driver on start up until the touch driver have been loaded successfully... or a script that disable the bluetooth driver on shutdown and enable it once startup completed... but I have no
idea how do to such scripts... fresh install of windows 10 on tablet :)

I have never had a tablet so not familiar with what might be available. You say you tried a compact OS, does that mean an RT version of Win 8 or 8.1, since I don't think there is one for Win 10.

Are you not able to go back to your original OS? To do a clean install on your current device, if the OS would fit, you would need to remove all the partitions during the install. A clean install will have problems creating new ones if the old ones are still there and it cannot install over the top of a newer OS.

What are you using to install Windows 10 with? A USB flash drive?

The way you should do the clean install is to boot the table from a Windows 10 USB flash drive. When it asks for upgrade or custom install, you select custom install. You will then be shown a list of partitions on the tablet's memory. Delete each partition until the memory is one big unallocated space. Click next to install to the unallocated space.

It looks like you did not boot the tablet from a Windows 10 installation USB flash drive and erase the partitions - you have a 100MB EFI System Partition and Windows 10 likes to see that larger - at least 250MB, I think. Erasing the partitions after booting from the Windows 10 installation USB flash drive will allow Windows setup to create the size of the EFI system partition that it wants.

yes. im booting from a pen made from the windows media creation tool.
    i made several attempts already
1: boot. install. on the partitions menu. erase all partitions. and let windows create all the partitions. error in the end
2: boot. on the 1º menu, shift +f10. and run this script ( UEFI/GPT-based hard drive partitions ) and then install, not making nothing on the partitions menu. same error in the end.
3: make boot of compact os. and do the same as above.... same error in the end...
all that times i whent on diskpart to see the partitions and that 2 are "hidden". can you confirm to that is normal? because on my desktop they are not Hidden.

My suspicion is the install from the factory was done in such a way may items in the Windows image that were not applicable to your exact system were removed prior to installing. Have you checked with the OEM to see if they have some type of install media you can purchase?

I looked at your link to the Compact OS and it seems you need a second computer to create the flash drive. You seem to say you have the option to select a compact install during installation. Perhaps just compacting on the small SSD is not enough.

And all Recovery and EFI system partitions normally do not have a drive letter. If the ones on the other install do, something has altered that configuration.

When Windows setup installs to a small hard drive/eMMC memory, it installs as compact already - that is automatic. I have a Nextbook Tablet and an Azulle Quantum Access stick computer, both with 32 GB eMMC memory and Windows 10 just installs off the normal Windows 10 installation USB flash drive as compact OS on the tablet/stick. You might be correct about the manufacturer having a minimized Windows 10 to fit onto the 16 GB eMMC memory.

Windows 10 will easily fit on a 16 GB mmc tablet as a clean install but upgrading is virtually impossible as it needs to create a windows.old folder.

The bigger hassle is that tablets often use special drivers not in the standard iso.

So if you did not export drivers before you upgraded to 10, you could run into problems if you cannot get drivers from tablet vendor.

I would reinstall original OS assuming you made a recovery drive (regrettably not all users do this), then export the drivers, then clean install and then you can sort out missing drivers.

fresh install of windows 10 on tablet

The OEM say that there is nothing that they can do. only send the tablet to them. as there is no guaranty already. it will cust me money.
and yes, is needed another "machine" to make that "compact Os" in a pen boot. i made it in my desktop.

I believe in that also, but support is crap... and there is nothing on line of them...

that was my 2º error, didind badk up nothing. erase all the partitions and did a clean install of the pen boot.
another thouth of mine..... I believe there is something on the bios blocking the install or something like that... if i post some pics of the bios can ou say if there is something in "the wrong" place

The system requirement for an x64 version of Windows 10, which all UEFI installs are, requires 20 GB. You seem to be saying that install will fit on a 16 GB SSD with only 13 GB available.

I have a hard time believing it will fit unless some house cleaning is done prior to creating the install media. I could be wrong, since compressing files install may reduce the space needed by maybe 40% or so, but it sounds like the OP is having a problem getting that to work, unless there is something you know which we do not.
