  1. Frustration over the new update for Windows 10 pro

So this new major update came up for Windows 10 Pro (Idk if it was for other versions of Windows or not) and it fucked up my laptop. Yes, it made my laptop slow but it's quite common and that's not the main reason of my frustration. The main reason is that in a lot of cases (not always), when I launch a Steam game on my laptop it just, uh, I guess I could say that it goes to sleep. The screen completely turns off and there is no sound. The indicator says that the laptop is on, and I can hear the hard drive working. I tried pressing all of the buttons, nothing turns it back on. The only way to get my computer back to work is to hold the power button and restart it. I tried many things, I researched the problem changed the settings and nothing fixes the problem. Please help.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
