  1. Fullscreen programs change my display color profile to default

I have this very weird bug that i can't seem to go around with any setting or driver version. Even tried clean windows 10 install.

Every time I open anything in full screen like youtube or games, the monitors color profile is changed to default. I'm using and rog strix g713 laptop with integrated amd graphics and a dedicated nvidia one. The only thing that has worked so far is disabling the amd graphics, restarting the laptop, enabling the graphics, this solution works only till next restart. I suspect some foul play by the Armoury Crate program that asus uses for the laptop performance and visual profiles but I am stuck.

    :)

Screen color profile changes once a USB device is plugged.

    Hi Maher,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

In order to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps, please reply with the following details:

    • Does this issue occur only when connecting a USB device or it happens when you connect a HDMI/VGA cable?
    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • Which build version of Windows is installed on the computer? To check type:
winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
      Enter.

In the meantime, you can try calibrating the Display Color Profiles as per your requirement and see if that helps. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Type Color Management in the search bar on the
      Taskbar and open it.
    2. Click on Advanced Tab.
    3. Click on Calibrate Display, and follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the display.
    4. If you want to change the Default system profile, then click on
Change system defaults, click on the profile that you want to make default and click on
Set as default to make the profile as the default profile.

Fullscreen programs change my display color profile to default

Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done Fullscreen programs change my display color profile to default :) I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.
