Windows 10: Function address 0x00007FF9B3CDA839 protection fault exceptiln code 6xe06d7363

My HP OfficeJet 3833 printer worked OK for 2 years until a few weeks ago after an Win 10 update, since then the page set-up function in Excel and Word 2016 no longer shows the option to choose colour or grey scale rather the above message comes up.


Since that point in time the output of the print function is always in black. HP have been of no help at all despite having 107 posts about this problem in their HP Community forum.


The icing on the cake comes when printing the printer own test page bypassing the PC or when printing test pages generated by the printer maintenance apps no interaction with Win 10 then the pagesprint in full colour without any problems.

There are a lot of unhappy users of PC/HP printers; bottom line Windows code/drivers and HP code/drivers have ceased to interact as they used to.


Who's left holding the bag...we the users, it is unfair, irritating, interference with our work.


Can somebody throw this drowning man a life preserver? Please and thank you

when I try to print I get a error message stating function address 0x76c09149 caused a protection fault windows 10 pro printer HP 5740

 

HP print error "function address 0x6b73c8c0 caused protection fault ( exception code 0xc0000005 ).

I have a officejet j3680, I'm running Windows 10. Had been fine, now I get "function address 0x6b73c8c0 caused protection fault ( exception code 0xc0000005 ). PC drops dead when I hit print. Boots back up normally just as if I had shut it down.
