Windows 10: Function keys keep reverting to media keys!

Discus and support Function keys keep reverting to media keys! in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; My laptop running windows 10 keeps reverting somehow to F1-F12 keys using their media functions.     Function keys keep reverting to media keys!


    My laptop running windows 10 keeps reverting somehow to F1-F12 keys using their media functions. I know how to change them back with BIOS on reboot but it's causing real problems mainly because F2 is a common hotkey in my work software and it's media function is to toggle aeroplane mode. I keep on disconnecting my VPN unexpectedly!I really need to find out either:a why the function keys keep on switching back to media keysorb is there a way to lock them to F1-F12 keys...to stop this problem happening.Can't seem to find a solution and any help much appreciated!

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps:

    • Single Click on the file.
    • Tap F2 ( Function Key).
    • Then type the name and enter.

    both SharpKeys and AutoHotKeys will allow you to create media keys and macros.

    1215N function keys not working?

    Doesn't list it for the 1215N *Frown Function keys keep reverting to media keys! :(

    Funny part all the keys work out of the box with Linux Mint, go figure.

    Tried the one on softpedia, doesn't seem to work.

    Any other model that I can take it from?
