Windows 10: Future version of Windows?

The future of Windows 10 is probably W11, because it's supported till 2025 i believe?!?

Herein is the whole Windows 10 rub, as you state each new build as like a new OS, and then state don't upgrade to new release.

This is complete madness, if a new build is a new OS as you state (which I agree), and one has NO control over the upgrade, how can you state that it is the responsibility of one's self to ensure it is compatible. That is akin to saying let's play a game of poker, but the dealer can change the rules at any time, even during the current dealt hand.

Talking even beyond hardware compatibility, there are personal usage compatibility issues at concern here. Creator version has removed functionality that was present in previous versions. Creator for me is next to unusable because of those changes. I apologize to anyone I might offend, but Windows 10 IMHO is the worst version of Windows to date. It is like a moving target, and you can never be sure of what you will have a few months from now. Totally unacceptable.

 

Totally agree. I don't think the upgrade to a new build should be mandatory, you should be able to refuse it. I've never tried myself. I personally don't like the way it is. The forced driver updates as part of windows update I dislike even more. *Mad All I'm saying, and have been saying all along, is Microsoft is not responsible for driver updates (other than its own hardware) for OEM hardware. It's always been like that and I don't see it ever changing. That being said, if your hardware stops working are you going to complain to Microsoft, or the actual manufacturer of said hardware? I'm not saying things aren't f##ked up, they are. But expecting the device you have now to be fully compatible with every new build comes down the pipe, is a pipe dream.

 

October 2025 is the last day of Earth.

 

It's the last version because they are going subscription model and so many people said they would never use a subscription model, so MS expects no more customers after 2025. *Redcarded
