Windows 10: G Mail

Discus and support G Mail in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I have a gmail account. An incoming email comes into Gmail and filters to Outlook.     G Mail


    I have a gmail account. An incoming email comes into Gmail and filters to Outlook. Everything has been fine for months but just recently when I open Outlook a window from Google opens and asks me to sign in. If I don't sign in it blocks my emails. If I sign in I get a security alert from Microsoft. I am not sure why this is happening and would appreciate help before I resort to phoning Microsoft.

    Mail app will not open on 10041.


    Hello Adam,

    This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. G Mail :)

    In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
