I still only use it in a VM, 7 is still my day to day OS. I want to get to know 10 and to like it as I feel I'll have to claw myself from using 7 as my go to OS, hence me buying a dedicated HD for it, but while I like it on face value and I do want to get in on the ground floor I still find it has a way to go to beat 7.

  2. Not with that Start Screen transparency it's not! *Sick Holy moly, and they said Windows 8 looked awful, 8.1 is lovely compared to this....I don't even know what to call it. It's just, no.

Definitely not liking the Start Screen being a giant Start menu in every literal sense of that term. The Start Screen from 8.1 should have been a carrying point of 10 versus a complete upheaval of it. That just looks incredibly distracting to CLEARLY be able to see your open windows that easily.

StarDock should start making a Decor10 app.

OMG. . .here we go again. Microsoft is again the big bad corp that has no idea what their doing. . .oh well I just keep using 10 TP on this old Dell as an everyday OS, and leave the Lonovo and iMac as is . . .that is with the OSs that they came with. . .

    . . .bricking. . .Hmmmm!. . .Whatever. . .

Oh it bricks alright no doubt about it, I have one drive bricked and the other new one got locked up a few times, but it's now working. But I'm not complaining, well much anyway, I've had a pretty bad run with 10. I've got 9926 working again hopefully until the next update.
I certainly wont be going back to Windows 7 or Linux, I want to go forwards not backwards, I could go back to 8.1 but certainly not 7, I can't imagine running 7 on my Mac Mini, and I have a Surface and a HP Stream 8 so why fool around with an old OS except to run some old Progs.

    Hi there

Don't like the Yellow / Greenish screenshots - but I'm sure the whole thing is customiseable. Didn't see how the start menu looks like either in WZOR's images.

Anyway looking forward to it -- maybe on St. Paddy's day (17 Mar) to test with a few glasses of Guinness. !!!

    Cheers

I don't get this comment , if your in start menu looking for an app to use[that's the only reason I go to start menu ] , then you wouldn't need to see what's on the desktop ,until after you opened the app you went looking for ,or am I missing something

  7. Hate to admit it, but my original enthusiasm for testing Win10TP has practically faded to nothing with these delays in releasing the next build. Here we are nearly at mid-March and still no word on when the next build will be out. And the ones that do get leaked don't even have Spartan in them. All I basically do now is check the forums once a day to see if there is any word on the next build availability.

I feel the same but I'm still going to test Win10 and keep my hopes up for new builds. So far it's going very well and I just hope it continues this way.

see it matters not what platform[vm] you are testing it on you are still a tester and in joying yourself, myself I was using it but never considered myself a tester.
I have it on 2 laptops[one is a acer one notepad, and I just started duel booting that with android x86] if I want to take a peak at it from time to time .

I recently bought a Pi 2,and spending most of my computer time playing with that

I view myself as a tester because I do try differnet things out with each build and report feedback/suggestions to MS. And for fun I'm doing some coding in C# and Python.

    No offense meant,
This is not my opinion or necessarily my view. I will keep that to myself. I find out all this information searching the web. This is not on just one webpage.

Microsoft maybe a little anti-consumer and possible Apple as well. Apple gets around the gpl using the BSD licenses. It undetermined if apple is violating the gpl. Microsoft doesn't like open source and claims open source violates Microsoft code but show no proof. Microsoft has also claimed some free software and paid software also violates Microsoft code but show no proof. They also require business not using only there server or get sued for using Linux.

Microsoft uses an activation and genuine scheme is very unconsumer like and messes up, just read the forums. Those only causes problems who brought legit computers and legit operating systems. Sometime people buy software thinking it is legit, but come to find out it is not but can't get a new one because they can't afford it.

coding is something I wish I had the capacity to learn, but it just doesn't come to me ,I will have to resort to copy /pasting code to do things with the Pi.

I hate mention Linux again, It sounds like you might like Arch Linux without a desktop. I notice Python installs from some programs that you may use on Linux. You can use Arch in a Vmware. I read Arch Linux takes over 6 hours to install.
