Windows 10: Game Bar says "Sorry, this PC doesn’t meet the hardware requirements for recording clips."

I am unable to get a screenshot of it, but whenever I click record lat 30 seconds, it says


"Sorry, this PC doesn’t meet the hardware requirements for recording clips."


Processor: Intel Core i5

Ram: 8 gb

Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GT 1030


I'm sure this hardware is definitely enough to record the last 30 seconds. My graphics drivers are also up to date, so that's not the problem either.


Any advice?

PC doesn´t meet hardware requirements for game bar.

It sounds like your graphics card may not be compatible with the recording functionality of Game Bar. Do you know what model your graphics card is?

Here's a page that lists the system requirements of Game Bar's DVR function:

If your PC doesn't meet those requirements, you won't be able to use Game Bar to record.

Xbox Gaming Bar on Windows 10 cannot record clips even with Hardware that fulfil the requirements.

Currently using a Dell laptop with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, fully updated drivers & latest version of xbox app, however the gaming bar still refuse to record clips by saying "Sorry, this PC doesn't meet the Hardware Requirement to record clips."

Is there anyways to solve this problem? Since the graphic card is more than capable of recording clips and the drivers are fully updated, I have no idea why the application still refuses to record.

Xbox Gaming Bar on Windows 10 cannot record clips even with Hardware that fulfil the requirements.

Something I forgot to mention in the question is that when I first launched Xbox app, it was capable of recording and I recorded a 3 minutes clip.

However, after that when I relaunched the app a few hours later, it now shows the "Sorry, this PC doesn't meet the Hardware Requirement to record clips." message.

So I know it could record, as the clip came out alright, but after that one time it could no longer record because it says my hardware doesn't meet the requirement?
