  1. Game Files Automatically Sent to OneDrive Recycle Bin

I am playing Skyrim on my Windows 10 pc, and everytime I quicksave the game, the game minimizes and I get a popup saying "Deleted files are removed everywhere" attached an image of the popup below, which takes me to my OneDrive recycle bin. Apparently, every time I save the game, my quicksave file gets automatically sent to my OneDrive recycle bin and I have to manually restore it. This is the first time I've ever had an issue like this, and I was just playing a different game last night Assassin's Creed Valhalla and my saves were perfectly fine there. I have no idea what may be causing this issue and I'm hoping someone will help me stop it. I'm guessing all I need to change is where my save files are being sent, but I have no idea how to do that.

As for what may have caused the issue, I've played Skyrim a few days this past week, and this issue has never before happened to me until just now. The only changes I made were when I was trying to setup a new wireless xbox controller to my pc via bluetooth. For whatever reason, using the controller on bluetooth, it will randomly disconnect and reconnect, disrupting my gameplay. Looking online for a solution, one told me to go to a location on my pc where there were temporary files, and delete them. This could be the cause of the issue, although the files I deleted were all gibberish as far as I know. Just random letters and numbers that had no meaning, so I didn't see any quicksave files among them. Also, none of the solutions I tried online helped with the controller issue, so I just resorted to using it with a wired connection and it works perfectly fine.

Once again, all I need help with are the save files getting automatically sent to my OneDrive recycle bin. If someone could help me redirect those files so they don't get sent there automatically, that would be helpful or if there's another solution that I'm missing.

    recycle bin

    Hi George,

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

    • Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
    • Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
    • Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.
Let us know if you need further assistance.

RECYCLE BIN automatically closes & returns to Desktop

    Hi,

You might be experiencing this issue because Recycle Bin is corrupted. If your Recycle Bin is corrupted, you can face various problems when using it such as this behavior. Let's repair Recycle Bin by

using the System File Checker tool
. This tool scans for corruptions in Windows system files and restores corrupted files.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you manually delete the Recycle Bin folder on your computer. Each drive on Windows has a hidden and protected system folder named
$Recycle.bin. When you delete files or folders, they are moved to the Recycle Bin folder for holding. If you delete the Recycle Bin folder, Windows will automatically create a new
$Recycle.bin folder. However, all previous contents of Recycle Bin will be lost. Make sure to only do this step if you don't have any valuable data in Recycle Bin. Here are the steps:

    • Click Start.
    • On the search bar, type Command Prompt, right-click Command Prompt from the results, and select
      Run as administrator.
    • Type rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin, and press Enter.
    • If you are using multiple drives or partition, you will have to do this for every partition on your hard disk by replacing C with the corresponding drive letter.
    • Restart your computer, and Windows will recreate a new Recycle Bin for you.

Keep us updated with the results, and we will be glad to assist you further.

Game Files Automatically Sent to OneDrive Recycle Bin

    Recycle bin will not empty

I used a file synchronizer to get rid of a bunch of images and the program sent all the small files to the recycle bin. Anyway, there must be a thousand small file in my recycle bin that will not empty. The "empty recycle bin" begins the process by listing all the files, but it just keeps going in circles and will not empty.
