Windows 10: Game lagging

Hi

I just upgraded my windows 7 home premium to windows 10 pro. But the games which is used to play in my older version is not working in my new version,so I downloaded some of the missing files and the game worked. But the problem was that the game is working very slowly so I thought it would be the resolutions of the game but even at the very low resolution the games in my pc is working very slowly ....I searched online for some issues but didn't make any sense ...hope u know the solution...waiting for Ur reply
