    Game sharing on Windows 10

Normally I play cross-play with my daughter. I am on windows 10 and she is on her Xbox one. We game share on Xbox and PC. Shes always complaining about the ARK lag on Xbox and I know it is rough. So I decided to get her a gaming laptop. Today we both signed on with windows 10 and was playing for just a few minutes when my ark crashed and completely shut down. Once I got signed back on, it was only a few minutes later and my daughter's ark crashed. For some reason every time we sign in to play together we keep taking turns having our ark crash. We never had this problem when playing with me on PC and her on Xbox. I googled it to try and find out what was wrong with no luck.

When my daughter played on Xbox, I just signed in to her account on the Microsoft store and downloaded ark and we played cross platform together. But now we are both on PC I don't think it likes it. I followed the directions I found here Sharing Windows 10 Apps and set up family sharing. I deleted Ark and all the DLC from my laptop and reinstalled it the way it said. When I go to the Microsoft store now and look up the games I am using from my daughter it says "you can use ARK: Extinction, or buy it to own" It never said this before, it always just said "This product installed".

BUT when I look at the Ark: survival evolved, it just says "This Product Installed". When I search for ark, It says "Trial Installed" under the Ark icon.

I just want to play Ark with my daughter with out getting kicked off every 2 minutes. Can anyone help me fix this??

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Can't share game clips

    Hi Bwax687,

The incorrect configuration setting is one of the reasons why you are getting this error: "There might be a problem with the service, or it could be because of your privacy settings or past behavior. To check your privacy settings, go to Xbox.com." when
you are trying to share your game clips. To help you resolve this concern, I need to collect more information. Kindly answer the questions below:

    • When did the issue start?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps you have done so far?
    • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Xbox app?

In the meantime, I suggest that you run the troubleshooter for Windows apps. This can help remove problem with an app from Microsoft Store.
