  1. Gaming and Random Crashes.

    Hi,

After some research and failing to find any solution i`ve decided to find help, have a gaming laptop (don`t judge me) and it used to work pretty well, until the latest Witcher expansion, i would be gettting a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION everytime i tried to start the game, some driver updates later and now i`m randomly getting the same BSOD so far i've tried.

    • Updating GPU Driver.
    • DDU the Drivers and do a clean install.
    • running sfc/scannow

Unfortunately my internet time is limited and i couldn`t find any more steps.

Any help would be appreciatted, and sorry for the bad english.

    :)

    Gaming and Random Crashes.

    Hi BeardedBrazilia,

    Welcome to the 10forums *Smile

Do you use both your GPUs?

Please run DDU again on your Nvidia drivers and make sure as less as possible is installed.

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Driver & Tools - GL551JW
. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver, you can use this tutorial to do so *Arrow NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems - Windows 7 Help Forums

  5. Hi, thanks for the reply,

I actually did DDU again and downgraded the GPU drivers, it seems to be working so far.

I do really appreciate the help though, i was kind worried that i could not open the dump files (as a programmer this makes me very very ashamed) so i was unsure if my SSD could be acting up too.

Should i change the post to fixed?

You can only open the dumps with a specific program and then you would also have to configure the symbols in this program, I'm a junior programmer and I wouldn't be able to open the dumps without it.

The program I am talking about *Arrow WinDBG - Install Configure - Windows 10 Forums

  7. Yeah i actually installed WinDBG and started setting up the symbols(why doesn't it come by default baffles me ), just figured it was not really worth the trouble (a pulsing headache doesn`t help either).

It looks fixed so i already changed it to Solved, i`ll do some more testing when i get back home, currently at work can't really game or run benchmarks now can i.

Thanks for all the help, have a nice day.

    Gaming and Random Crashes.

It is also used for delevoping drivers and such and they have to configure Windbg in a different way.

  9. I was just being a little bit facetious right there, still, thanks for all the help.
