Windows 10: General Settings option is missing in Audible Download Manager

I can't get my audible books to automatically download to iTunes. When I go to audible Download Mgr, I don't see General Settings.

Audible Manager Win 10

• Open Audible Manger.
• Select No Devices from the lower left pane.
  
  
  
• .Click on Devices in the upper left menu > select Activate.
  
  
  
• Enter your Audible account credentials in the window that pops up > click
  OK.

Once Audible Manager has been properly activated, you should be able to play the Audiobooks that have been downloaded and imported to the software.

What is the version of Zune?

Go to audible manager options in the edit tab at the top of the player right next to file. Click on desktop manager tab. It is the last of the three tabs. The field will give you two options for opening your audible files. Click on windows media player.
This will allow you to play all your Audible files. It may take a few tries and restarts, but the applications will combine and you will be able to play by audible and still use the Audible Manager program.

windows 10, zune will not connect in audible download manager

I tried this but it hasn't worked for me. I have been having trouble connecting my original Zune in order to download Audible audio books for months now, but until today I always managed to get a connection after many tries of plugging and unplugging the
Zune's USB connector in different ports and opening and closing the Audible Manager application. Today nothing works, though I have been working at it for several hours. I wonder if it has to do with the most recent Windows 10 update from yesterday.

I tried one user's tip of disconnecting all other USB devices, but both my mouse and my keyboard are USB devices, so I don't know how to acknowledge Audible Manager's question "Do you want to connect your Zune device" if both are disconnected.

EDIT:

I restarted my computer, loaded Audible Manager and the Zune connected! I don't know what was the cause of the successful connect, but at least it worked.
