  3. Cannot open and view .jpg files from a folder in Windows 10.

    Hello Robin,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. We will assist you in resolving the issue.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

    • Which photo application are you trying to view the pictures from?

    • What happens when you try to open pictures from that particular folder?

    • Do you get any error message/error code?

    • Are you able to view pictures from other folders?

    • Does the issue persist with some or all .JPG files?

    • Did you check if an application is assigned to open
      .JPG file type?

You may face the above issue if an application is not assigned or there is no application installed on your PC to open that particular file type.

Method 1: Try assigning an application from the
Settings window to open .JPG file format by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type Settings
and select the top most search result.

    • Click on System option from the window and select
Default apps from the left side panel of the screen.

    • Scroll the page down and click on Choose default apps by file type.

    • Locate and click on the .jpg file type from the window and select an application to set as default viewer from
      Choose an App window.

    • Close the window and check if you are able to view the
.jpg file images using the application selected.

Method 2: If the issue still persists, I suggest you to transfer the picture files to another folder and check if you are able to open and view the files.

Write to us with the answers to the above questions and the status of the issue on the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.

    Get code from JPG files?

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
