Windows 10: get out of high contrast mode for display

    I just switched to a high contrast display to make reading screen easier pressing together the left shift left alt and prtsc keys. One of the forum threads says this sequence is a kind of toggle so that doing it again turns off high contrast. Didn't for me. Instead, it produced a menu asking if I wanted to turn on high contrast with yes and no options. I tried both and in each case the menu closed with no change.
    In short, how do I get out of the high contrast which I find almost impossible to read (I'm 74 and have less than the best eyesight)?

    How on Gods green earth do I turn OFF high contrast. I selected NONE and it says I can't save that theme in high contrast mode. Well duh by selecting NONE as the high contrast theme I want , you would think it would figure out that I don't want high contrast
    mode at all. I want to select the colors that I want to use with a particular picture. It has currently SELF decided to use auto color select when not in High Contrast Mode but it choose purple as a color choice with a picture of a black car. I was trying
    to get a black or at least a dark gray color choice when I went to High Contrast. Instead it deleted the picture and just went black and white. This is not what I want or need but now I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn the God forsaken SOB
    OFF. It simply will not return to whatever non-High Contrast mode is called . Please Help.

    High Contrast Mode in Windows 10

    So I was messing around with the high contrast settings and after that, when I pressed some buttons (one combination is left shift+left alt+print screen which is the way to get out of high contrast mode) and the high contrast mode shows up for a second
    and disappears. It is getting a little tedious seeing this so I was wondering how I could fix this. The computer I am using runs Windows 10 and was upgraded from windows 8.1.
