Windows 10: Get "Unsupported 16-bit application error" message with approved 64bit installers

Hello,


since a few days i got a strange problem when trying to instal certern programs on my windwos 10 machine.


i i want to run a setup.exe of a certain software in many cases i now got an

"Unsupported 16-bit application error" message.

I saw many topics concerning that messages already on google but not specified to installing an aplication. The main problem is but that those setups has been worked before without any problems under Windows 10 Pro 64bit.


What is exactly wrong with my machine and is there a way to solve the problem without the need to do a fresh Win10 instalation?


I already tryed to check for corrupt systems files as mentioned in other topics without any change or result. Also the compatibility mode does not do it for me.

A Windows 95 game is 35 years old, or 350 years old in computer years (1=10 years ratio) so that's the level of impossibility you're asking.

However it is possible to get 16 bit applications running in Windows 10 as shown here:

There is nothing else I find for that game in Windows 10 so it's likely it's not possible.

Hey there I'm tring to run Nerf Jr. Foam Blaster: Attack of the Kleptons (see https://nerf.fandom.com/wiki/Nerf_Jr._Foam_Blaster:_Attack_of_the_Kleptons!)
on my laptop and I got this error

Unsupported 16-Bit Application

The program or feature "\??\E:\SETUP.EXE" cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available

I don't know how I can make it compatable?
