Windows 10: Get Windows 10 with a Win 7 licence.

Is it still possible to get a free Windows 10 licence with a legitimate Win 7 licence? Somebody I know wants Win 10 put on their notebook. This How to Geek article suggests it is but I'm unsure if it's still current and whether it can be done with the Win 10 1903 installation media...

Win 7 and Win 10 on network

I have home network with separate modem, router, and WAP's. My Windows 7 computer does NOT list the Windows 10 computers on network computer list but the Windows 10 computers network list DO list the Windows 7 computer.

Turned off firewalls, gave permissions, shared drives. Nothing allows Win 7 computer to access the Win 10 computers.

Any suggestions for a fix?

 

Windows 7 Club

I won a 10 user licenced copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (64) at a work party yesterday and purchased Win 7 Pro for my work machine. Windows 7 is def my fave MS OS since XP.

I also used the RC till last night...so I suppose this qualifies me for the club?
