    Hey guys,

Same problem here, as you have just explained, when the update reaches the 2-3% it stops suddenly and nothing can be done. I also tried to modify this parameter in regedit ([HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX]
"IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled"=dword:00000000) but seems to do not have grated permissions

Let me know if anyone else could get it working

  7. Just out of curiosity, did you guys attempt the update after having been notified of the update, or did you download the upload file (Windows10Upgrade28084.exe) from Microsoft? I did the later, and I wonder if that's the source of the issue.

  8. Getting error 0x80070057

I ended up on an Anniversary Edition page on Microsoft.com, and clicked on a link labelled "upgrade now" or words to that effect. It installed a desktop icon "Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant", which is what I clicked to consistently achieve the failure.

This happened to be the only non-Insider machine I have; the others had no problems but seemed to upgrade with a normal Rollup patch rather than a full-ball-of-wax installation process.

  9. That's the process I followed as well.

  10. Right now I've restored today's image from Windows Home Server to a spare disk so I can experiment without risking the existing installation. I'm currently burning a thumb drive with the Media Creation Tool, and hope it is actually the Anniversary Edition. We'll see if that behaves any differently.

  11. Same problem here through the Win 10 assistant. I've tried somethings but I'll see if it comes through Update tomorrow as I'm calling it a night.

  12. The attempts to run SETUP.EXE from the ISO file "burned" to a bootable thumb drive with Rufus failed several times with "Setup couldn't start properly..."

I booted into safe mode and removed the folder with $BT in its name. Booted up normally and ran SETUP.EXE again off the thumb drive.

This time it appears to have worked. I think that machine is up on the Anniversary Edition at long last.

  13. Getting error 0x80070057

I got a slightly different error (0x80070005) after Window10Upgrade28084.exe failed to validate my product key in spite of Win 10 being correctly activated.

Tried it twice with the same results. Possibly I should have run it with elevated permissions even though my account already has administrator privileges. Am now trying with the MCT to see if that makes a difference.

  15. Joining in on this thread so we can finally find a fix for this! Having the same issues even after going over ALL the solutions posted on Reddit and the Microsoft forums. I'm using the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant Tool and everything is fine until it starts to actually install Windows 10. It gets to 2% before giving me the same error code number.
