Getting error message popup about Intel Optane tm Memory Pinning, Unable to Laod DLL .....

Indicating some driver file not updated.

But my PC manufacturer DELL & its System support , shows the Drivers are up to date. Why such mismatch of information. Error pops up quite often. How to stop it.

Due to a compatibility issue, an error message for Intel Optane might pop up on your Windows.

To be able for us to get rid of this message, kindly do this following steps:

On your keyboard kindly press Windows key + R

Type: appwiz.cpl then click okay.

Look and highlight Intel Optane Pinning Explorer Extensions.

Click Repair.

After that, kindly open device manager by pressing windows key and type device manager.

On the device manager window look for: Software Components.

Expand the Software Components and right click Intel Pinning shell Extension.

Click Uninstall device and check the box to delete.

Click Uninstall and wait for it to finish.

Restart your computer to apply all the changes you made.

Intel Optane(tm) Memory Pinning: Unable to Load DLL

Whenever I open Windows Explorer of select a file in Explorer, I get the following error message:

Intel Optane(tm) Memory Pinning

Unable to load DLL

'iaStorAfsServiceApi.dll': The specified module could not be found.

(Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007001

Windows Explorer

I am running Windows 10. This only started after the last Windows 10 Update.

I have a DELL Laptop

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750 CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21

This is a very annoying message.

Can anyone assist?
