Windows 10: GETTING INTERNET EXPLORER 11 on new WINDOWS 10

Hello Friends. Just got new HP Desktop 16 Gig with windows 10. It has Microsoft Edge as the browser which I don't care for. I prefer Internet Explorer 11 as I mainly do office stuff. I searched around and found out that by going to windows features I found I.E. 11 there and checked the box and also O.K.box and then restarted the computer. Nothing changed, still had Edge. Could anyone help? It should be on the computer if it is in feature lineup right? Thanks, Willy

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?




Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter

Getting about:blank page in Internet Explorer 11
