Windows 10: Ghost Muted

I have noticed nobody can see my chat in Mineplex and other basic servers on Minecraft, but they can see hashtags and nothing else. I have tried signing out and signing back in (it didn't work). Then I tried turning all the settings in xbox to everyone or allow (this didn't work either). After that I contacted Mojang and the only thing they said was that it was a Microsoft issue and to contact them. I have been muted since last summer and all I want to be able to do is to be able to talk to my friends again. So someone please help!
