Windows 10: GMAIL notification if email looked at

Hello all. I was wondering if there is a utility that tells you if someone has looked at your email and not one of those where they need to click a link to advise you as most people do not bother doing this. I am not concerned about any confidentiality or the like but I just need to know if someone has looked at it and nothing else. Thanks

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

Gmail: How to get more than just the first email notification with new Windows 10 desktop notifications?

I feel this might just be a bug in the new Windows 10 desktop notifications for Gmail in Chrome, but in case there's a fix someone else knows about I thought I'd post here first. Previously I used Chrome Gmail desktop notifications. I don't know how they worked, as this functionality has now been removed and replaced with Windows 10 notifications. The old desktop notification appeared just above my system tray every time a new email came in.

With the new Windows 10 desktop notifications, I only receive a notification for the first email, and no subsequent emails, even if those emails come in 5 or 10 minutes later. Clearing the gmail notification from my windows notification center seems to allow the next email to correctly give me a notification, but then I get back into the same state where the following emails will not give notifications.

Is there a setting that will allow me to be notified of all emails as they come in?

I know there is nothing wrong with my Windows 10 notification center because all slack messages correctly appear, even if I never interact with slack or the notification center. Each new message will correctly make a new notification. I would like Gmail to behave this way.

This change in gmail happened about a month ago when I switched to the new Gmail interface, I believe.

If there isn't a fix for this, does anyone have a link to an existing bug report for this?
