Windows 10: Gmail totally messed up

In the last week or so every time I open my Gmail, it seems to appear different.

This is what my Inbox box looks like now.





It seems to be "starred" what ever that means. I have no idea how it got "starred".

I also can NOT see my "Trash" label to select it to remove the trash. I can NOT find the "Label" tab in the settings.


What I would really like to do is set my Gmail back to where it was the day I got it (years ago). I don't know if this is possible or not.

I could sure use some help (is there a tutorial for Gmail in this forum?).

Thanks to bro67...Interestingly enough the Gmail link to this forum reply actually worked, as did your link to "How to Fix....." I tried steps 1 and 2 without success. Step 3 gave me the following screen, which didn't look like the article described. At any rate, the probem is unchanged...screenshot follows.

I'm sitting here in the office, its the end of the year in the school system, and several employees transferring to alternative counties. With this it brings loads of transferring contacts to take with them from their company phone. Well, this one in particular sparked a guide idea. So here it is, How to transfer Outlook contacts to your Gmail account.


Step 1: Sign in to your outlook account.
step 2 In the top left hand corner click File > Import/Export > Export to file > Browse to desired place to save your file > export. Be sure you export the file as .csv (comma separated values)
Step 3 Log into your Gmail account
Step 4 Select 'Contacts' In the subsection you will see a 'Import' button on the right-hand side. Click it.
Step 5 Browse to the location where you saved it > Open it > Click Import.



I would have provided pictures, but I use neither Outlook or Gmail. Hope someone somewhere gets some use from this. *Toast :toast:

Totally Confused with Email

• Are you trying to create third user account in the mail app?
• Which email account have you configured with two accounts (live mail, outlook or Gmail etc)?

Step 1: I suggest you to install all the latest pending Windows updates as below and check if it helps.

• Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
• Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
• Then once you find the pending updates install it and check.
