Windows 10: Going to Reset Windows 10 Pro on Asus N56J Laptop with no Wired Ethernet Port - Can I use...

I am going to be resetting my Windows 10 Pro PC (An Asus N56J) which doesn't have an Ethernet Port on it, and wondering if I can do a reset properly with Wireless, or if it might be a better idea to do this with a USB backup key?

I am copying any files I want to keep to a Passpost external hard drive now, and intend to start this part off here pretty soon, however I am having trouble finding an answer to this 100%.

Was going to do a Reset PC -> Remove Files -> Non Wipe Hard Drive option - Will this detect my wireless when it comes back to life?

Ethernet connection/port on my laptop

Ethernet port on my laptop is not working. (when i connect the ethernet wire to my macbook it works fine). i can't find the ethernet connection option in settings>internet & network. It was working a few days back. Please help restore so that i can use ethernet
to connect to internet once again.

• Update download was completed but installation did not complete and the message popped up that stated that update is not compatible and cannot be installed.

• Are you experiencing the same issue even when you are using another Ethernet cable?
  • yes, tried different cables
  • (also same ethernet cable & connection works on my mac notebook)
• Have you made any changes to your computer setting before this issue occurred?
  • Can't say with certainty about changes, if any, made. Normally i don't fiddle with the laptop systems.
  • ethernet port was working just fine and suddenly became dsysfunctional about two weeks back.
  • Checked Network adapters in the device manager which highlights Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller with a yellow mark. Also checked network adapter driver which states that installed driver is the latest.

 

Assigning software to use Ethernet port or wifi.

Im using a Win10 Pro B1803 64bit. My laptop has a Ethernet port and Wifi.

the Ethernet port is connecting company's local working network and the Wifi is connecting to the company's wifi network for internet.

Here is my question, is there any possible way that I can assigned like Skype go Wifi, Firefox go ethernet, Edge go Wifi?
