Gone from Intel to AMD motherboard and getting BSOD

Hi guys - hope you're well and thanks in advance for any responses. I have just switched out my Motherboard/CPU/RAM for new for an upgrade. The computer works pretty well except under heavy load I am getting the BSOD. I'll try to include everything necessary so hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction. Old Spec: Intel New Specs: Motherboard - B550M DS3H BIOS - F13g (up to date) Processor Ryzen 9 5900X (2x) 8 GB DDR4 3200mhz Geforce RTX 2070 (up to date drivers) For example, when I run cpubenchmark I get a crash just after the graphics test completes after it says "INFO: Waiting for sustained writes ... 33" The BSOD stop code is CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED I have tried reseating my hardware, switching the RAM around etc and had a fiddle in the BIOS - all with no joy. I am running a fresh copy of Windows. Thanks again for any help with this one. _________ Win Ver: 20H2 OS Build 19042.928 - - - Updated - - - In the BIOS I've noticed that it says Kingston 2400mhz RAM (which is the old DDR3 RAM I was using) and I have HyperX 3200mhz ram. I'm not sure if this is relevant. Thanks again. - - - Updated - - - Update: have ran Prime 95, FurMark, SeaTools, chkdsk and have had no issues - everything appears to be running fine. - - - Updated - - - I'm doing an overnight ram test with memcheck. First cycle has passed okay. My PSU is a Corsair 650M (quite old)

  2. From INTEL to AMD processor BSOD problem

    Hello,

I switched to a new motherboard with an amd processor, I was using Intel before.

I never got BSOD before on my windows 10 PC.

I am getting different BSOD messages such as:

    • IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE
    • INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
    • KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

These are the most common ones:

    • KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
    • SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

I got more different BSOD messages but In the meanwhile I switched my Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB to an AMD RX 5700XT.

And I dont remember if I encountered them after switching to amd gpu, but I will list them anyway:

    • SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (nvlddmkm.sys)
    • DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    • PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Some information that may will help to answer my problem: When I play games I never get BSOD.

And I get BSOD most often maybe when I am watching something with VLC mediaplayer, or browsing, but I am getting BSOD even if I am not doing anything on my PC. Sometimes more sometimes less. I got BSOD maximum around 10 times a day, but maybe a little less
or more, im not counting them.

I tried many solutions, I reinstalled the windows, I updated my drivers and the windows, everything is up-to date. I have checked the memory with the windows diagnostic tool (it said no problem with the memory), and checked both hard drives with chkdsk,
but it didnt gave me any result, when finished.

I have run the verifier and I got BSOD with the "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" message.

Here is my minidump log files: Minidump.rar

  3. Windows 10 upgrade fail BSOD - AMD/Intel Hybrid (Switchable) Graphics - Sony Vaio SVE14A26C

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Windows 10 will run on a PC with AMD/Intel Hybrid (Switchable) graphics.

Since Sony has confirmed that you might face BSOD with AMD/Intel Hybrid (Switchable) Graphics SVE14A* computer model. I would suggest you to disable one of the graphic card driver and then try upgrading to Windows 10 and check.

For disabling one of the graphic card follow the steps .

    Uninstall the Device Drivers :

    a) Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.

    b) Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

    c) Search for the Graphics Card device from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove
the corrupted drivers from the computer.

    d) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and the restart the computer if prompted

    Hope it helps.

Reply us back with the update of the issue.

    Thank you.
