    Since when is it a Techy choice what goes on his clients computer? Removing things from a clients computer (unless it is harmful) is not your choice.

    I never heard of that feature before and I do suspect that would be a European feature only. Outside of Europe that feature doesn't exist so that's why that comment was being discussed. Here in the US I bet that the vast majority of casual users wouldn't know how to install a third party browser. I know that Erin wouldn't know where to begin.

    It is faster, safer and more customizable. But these days people go more for Chrome derivates, I use one myself.

    Here is the balance for me and work around since windows XP and Windows 7 right through to Windows 8.0 and Currently Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise

    Internet Explore is gone for any or my use RIP never cared for IE

    MS Edge has at least 3 years of work ahead of them to lay down the foundation and bring the standard of the new protocols to function and adopt to the new www protocol that will be geared for cloud and mobile transmissions and a lot more that I can share " no time at the moment "

    Opera 2014 is the cream of the crop " get yourself a copy of the 2014 version and hang on tooth and nail to it " its the benchmark where all browsers should be built from and should be the bar of standards

    Chrome is very good also but still needs a lot of work to function properly right across with every platform and device and most of all encryption currently Chrome is very weak around HTML applications, but over all Chrome will transform into a good tool and keep you save and have sound protection at the end of the day, as long as Google keeps throwing money at it

    My every day browser is Opera 2014 and Chrome

    My all time Favourite Browser was Netscape Communicator hands down till Mozilla acquired it

    I agree, what works for you personally is what matters at the end of the day,,, BunnyJ

    Opera 2014 for me all the way and first choice of any browser on the market in the current set up of the internet network

    That's for sure BunnyJ

    Until 2015 and onward where Opera stopped and done a 360 degree turn and started to only focus nothing more in their browser and updates in mobile only, what is left are old generation of Opera Browsers on their web page and it seems they only will be primarily on working and updating their famous browser only on Mobile and portable devices and that's sad

    After months of rumor, Opera finally confirmed two weeks ago that its board had accepted a takeover offer from a consortium of Chinese firms for the price of $1.2 billion. While the board clearly had a few options, it decided to go with a consortium that includes mobile game company Kunlun, security and search firm Qihoo 360, and Yonglian Investment. For most Opera users, the sale came as a bit of a shock, not in the least because Qihoo 360 doesn’t necessarily have the best reputation. 12. Well, guess I'm in the distinct minority here as I use Edge as my primary browser. I have 5 yes Five browsers installed and use each at various times/moods. Edge, I.E. Opera, FireFox, Epic privacy browser. As stated Edge is used the vast majority of the time as I've had no troubles with it at all. Followed by a coin flip between Opera and FF. IE for when I have to get on the V.A.'s network as it works best for them. Opera was my standard go to always used browser for many many years but but since they "gave up" and started using Webkit ...... well, I just lost a little respect for them Its mainly on my machine for the nostalgia though I do still use it on occasion. Epic....... I really like but its my "newest" and I'm still poking around the corners and crevices of it for now. It has definite potential though.

    @Leopard.

    Farewell for sure in this case for Opera ever looking at anything PC Desktop or Laptop related, this new owner is more into mobile and cloud services

    RIP Opera for daily PC Desktop/Laptop use, just like everything else, even Windows 10 will morf in a couple of years into Mobile and Tablet user friendly use only
