  1. Google Chrome stating that I require parental permision for more time.

This has only started occurring today, even though I have been using chrome for almost 3 months on a new laptop.

I am not in a family group and I have tried other fixes stated by Microsoft Tech Support Admins.

This is causing me great stress and creating many problems as I am a student and rely heavily upon Chrome normally, but with the ongoing crisis if this problem persists my ability to connect with my Teachers will be crippled.

    :)

  2. (Solved) Chrome requires parental consent to launch

Hi, I currently have a laptop that is used by multiple people in my house, one of which require "permision from your parents" to launch Chrome.

I am aware that this can be solved by linking a Microsoft account to each account and editing the family setting via the Microsoft family, however the local administrator is entirely local, and the account with the problem was accidentally
linked to a Microsoft family which the parent account is no longer accessible. To also get to the site to manage the family also requires "permision from your parents" to launch

    --------Edit---------

Problem was solved, remembered password for adult in family

  3. Google Chrome asking for Parental Permissions when accessing

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues when using Google Chrome on your PC as it keeps asking for permission from parent.

Ideally, you get this error if you were previously added into Family Group as a Child account and then Google Chrome was restricted from being used.

Let’s try a couple of troubleshooting steps and see if that helps in fixing the issue.

    Method 1:

Try re-installing Google Chrome on your PC. Refer the below articles to re-install Google Chrome on your PC.

    Method 2:

Create a new user account and then login with the same Microsoft Account and see if you face the same issue. Kindly follow the steps mentioned below to convert Microsoft Account to Local Account.

    1. Press Windows + S to open Search
    2. Now type Your account info
    3. Click on Sign in with a local account instead
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once you move to a local account create a new user account and sign in with your Microsoft Account and then see if you receive the same error. Refer the article

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10

In addition, you can also try providing the parental consent for your Account and see if that helps. Refer the section
How do I provide consent for a child account? and sub-section
I'm an adult but I'm being asked for parental consent. What do I do?
    from the article

Parental consent and Microsoft child accounts

Let us know how it goes.

    problem uninstalling google chrome

    Hi,

Since you already uninstalled Google Chrome using the Programs and Features, Google notifications may still be running in the background processes. We suggest that you follow these steps on how to end the Google Chrome process:

    • On your keyboard, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
    • Select Task Manager.
    • Under Processes, locate Google Notifications or Google Chrome.
    • Right click on them and select End Task.
    • Double check under Programs and Features if Google Chrome is completely gone.

Let us know if these steps worked.
