Personally I am not in favor of Google Chrome..... just because it's made by google and logs your every move *Sad
But I might be the only one left that has a privacy concern....

Windows 10 Home Version 1703 Issue

Today I learned about Google Canary and downloaded it. It is what the developers are working on now and receives nightly updates.

The current version is 60.0.3076.0 and at that version, the problem in Windows 10, ver 1703 seems to be fixed.

Here is where you can download Canary. You can run it and regular Google Chrome at the same time. So somewhere between 58.0.3029.81 and 60.0.3076.0 the problem will be resolved in Google Chrome too.

  6. far too many corporations do not take our privacy seriously and feel quite at ease to data mine our PC's if there is a better browser that doesn't monitor everything we do I will use it immediately....Google started as a humble search engine, now look at them....scary

And they've gotten away with it, which is in my guess, why Microsoft thinks they can get away with it with Windows 10.

I think there is a point where if they want to offer convenience and functionality they have to collect some data, but there is a line that they both cross many times over (IMO).

So make your choise and pick, cholera or the plague?

  9. this forum is meant for asking questions....but on a side note I tried to install a plugin to download the cyclops safety camera database, after a while I was told chrome no longer supports this type of plug in, but offered a link to open it in internet explorer, well I didn't install IE when I installed windows 10 as a matter of preference, this garmin plugin doesn't even work in the edge browser, so I had to download and install IE just to get the safety camera updates......how crazy is that ? first thing I saw when I open IE was would I like to download the better browser ' Google chrome' LOL

What he posted is true. Google does as does MS and just about everyone..

  11. Got to say that regarding stability and privacy Opera Stable 31.x is a pretty good choice since 10074 and under 10525. This is my main browser since more then a decade now, Opera allow me to install these extensions while Google Chrome won't for Disconnect that grab Google Internet appetite.
Download Opera for computers - Opera Software
Ad block: AdBlock extension - Opera add-ons
Disconnect: Disconnect extension - Opera add-ons
Ghostery: Ghostery extension - Opera add-ons
Close and clean: Close Clean extension - Opera add-ons

Chrome Canary now seems to crash regularly in Windows 8.1 - probably Pepper Flash/MS Flash clashing.
