Windows 10: Google Lead Services & the All Knowing Greg C. 1 Year Later still a Huge Problem!

Hi Greg, Hi All,I'm 100% Positive it is the Norton 360 Deluxe's "VPN" that is screwing up all of my Ads that may be interesting enough to look into maybe I'm looking for a New 5G Smartphone & in my Google Search I saw an Ad that resembled an Ad that had a $1,000 Phone on sale for $700 you know so I have to click on the Ad to see if I can save $300. However, something a year ago I may have neglected to mention my Landlord for the next 6 to 12 months has a WI-FI Router that has NO Password & NO Security so I must use a VPN which is the reason I got for an unbelievably 2nd year low pric

googleleadservices was answers with trouble shooting tips by the one & only Greg C. In 2019 however, starting in late 2021 googleleadservices started to become a major, major problem for me in Google Chrome which was always since the beginning over 20ish years ago the only Browser I used, my Default Browser & Greg's trouble shooting was only about the edge browser (which I still have the problem in edge actually any browser I use on my PC. Wondering whether it was because of all the problems HP was responsible for in the past was it HP? Was it definitely before I got my Norton 360 Deluxe or was it Norton's fault? (I don't think so). Before I noticed it happened in edge also was it Google's fault? Also, same type problem any Email Link, Search Link 99% of those sites are Blocked (different message) too. The I think possibly related the old Wikibuy or Ebates pick a store for cash Back or Coupon tap the Store & Blocked from there also! Which over Presidents Day Weekend cost me 2 sets of $50 too. Greg, somebody, anybody HELP.

Hello again Greg, You were the 1st & 2nd answers out of only 3 since February to answer my question let me answer them both quickly in case I answer a question of yours, meant to be helpful in a way that would negate trying that particular step. (First, let me say how par as usual that a Paid Google One Membership can't even get anybody at Google to answer a like question of GoogleLeadServices just 1 lousy time in 100! Waste of Money! When I originally asked this question I had Norton 360 Deluxe on my PC only & Ad Blocker on my PC & Phone. I then followed your suggestions & Uninstalled the Norton 360 Deluxe from the PC & Uninstalled the Ad Blocker Chrome Extension from the Chrome Browser on PC & Ad Blocker app from the Phone restarted everything several times over a 3 day period & but still could not get a link (with no known URL attached & some ad type Links with URL showing as to change URL into https://, however, it never worked anyways, never made a difference! I'm sure you understand what I just said which even mind-boggled a non-tech person such as myself. Sorry to drag this out until mid-May however, you may remember I'm waiting on that transplant still which bedriddens me about 50% of the time.

The best that we could suggest that you can try is to check if you are using a proxy to connect to the internet. If so, try to disable the proxy connection and check if it helps. Here are the steps:

• Click the "Gear" icon at the top right corner in Internet Explorer.
• Click the "Tools" button, and then click "Internet Options".
• Click the "Connections" tab, and then click "LAN settings".
• Uncheck the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" box.
• Click "OK".
