Windows 10: GPU Driver Update Error - 0x800703f1

Hi!


After Windows had been rebooting on its own a few too many times I started some research on that topic. This led me to failing Update (0x80020010) which I somehow managed to resolve. Some failing driver updates (0x800703f1) for my GTX1060 also showed up so I started research to that topic and tried some fixes. In the process I noticed that none of the scenarios I found seemed to be exactly the one I deal with.


I probably should have kept record of what I did. I might fail to mention a few things I did.


I tried to update the drivers via devicemanager and windows updater. Both failed. Devicemanager told me my registry is corrupted.

I ran cmd as an adminstrator and did "sfc /scannow" but it didn't find any issues.

Same story with "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth" and the followup "[...] /CheckHealth" and "[...] /RestoreHealth" - no issues found.

I also deinstalled my AV and ran a Cleantool.

I than tried to update via GeForce Experience and checked the reinstalling box. I got some failures as a return and decided to give up on that and hope that it's gonna fix it self after some time. BUT: Apparently now my GPU isn't working propperly anymore. At least I had to lower the graphic settings on games significantly.

So I continued and noticed a new error code: 0x8024a105

I fixed that by running cmd as an adminstrator and running the commands:

net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.oldnet start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver

After that i rebooted.

I'd consider it worth mentioning that

net stop bits

and

net stop msiserver

returned that the services never started in the first place.

Now I get the previous error code again: 0x800703f1


I would really appreciate some help/guidance.

...Try contact Toshiba ----they as whats happend for the last 5 years with Windows 7,8 and they didnt ask any more.

..I got copy of System Info File and System Log file . I got problem with USB ports as they do not want to read USB and WD external drives.

Windows 10 doesn't download updates and gives me error 0x800703f1


So I'll explain what's wrong. I installed my Windows 10 and everything was going smoothly. It has installed 2 updates from the day I've installed it and everything was ok. Recently updates KB3081448 and KB3081449 came out but it doesn't want to download them. Instead it gives me error 0x800703f1. My drivers are up to date and my PC is clean from viruses. Any ideas on how could I fix this?

EDIT: I also tried installing them manually. It failed after step 2 of the installation...
