How to avoid granting admin permission every time a standard user sign-in

standard user has a limited usage than the administrator, thgats normal behaviour , whenever standard user tries to install a software or if jhe tries to access restricted files or fiolders , he must get permissions from admin .

to avoid this , grant as a administrator

  3. Allow Standard User run application as admin

we have a shortcut that is calling a .exe file that requires admin rights by the UAC. I would like to be able to run the application without any admin rights or give the standard user admin rights only to this .exe. What we have done and failed.

    1. Application properties >> security >> Advanced >> Permissions >> Full Control<br>
to local group A (which includes the user) and user by them self.
      1. Gave ownership of folder to local Group A.
      2. I looked in Regedit and I see the user, and they have full control for that application.
      3. have checked run as admin and unchecked too.
We do not want to use /savecred because of security risk. What other steps can we take to find a solution.

Grant Admin Rights to Standard user for certain apps

Changing User to have administrative rights.

    Ruben,

Only another Admin account can grant Admin rights.

Log in to an Admin account then go to

    • Settings,
    • Accounts,
    • [you will see the currently logged-in user account there & it will be annotated with Standard user / Admin & Local account / MSAccount],
    • Family & other people,
    • [You will see the other user accounts listed on the right in the Other people list - they will be annotated with Standard user / Admin & Local account / MSAccount],
    • Click on an account to select it,
    • [control buttons appear for that account only],
    • Click on Change account type,
    • [give it Admin permission to proceed],
    • Select account type Admin then click on OK,
    • You will then see that the account type in the Other people list has been updated.
