Windows 10: Granted system32 Admin to access. How to revoke?

I went to the system32 folder (and then others inside it), and I was prompted twice along the way that I needed permission to access the folder(s) (the Admin box with the shield popped up). I clicked allow/ok, and was able to do what I needed. I then closed the file explorer folder since I did what I needed. I always double check what I did, so I went back to check it, but this time (and all times after), I don't get the Admin prompt box anymore. Why? Shouldn't it prompt every time I try to access it? How do I get that back? I rebooted thinking it was a session thing, but I still don't get prompted. Why would it prompt only the first time you try to access it? I'm on 1909 if that make a difference for anything.

How to grant local admin access to a specific app in Windows 10?

There is an application that is programmed to ask for local admin password as soon a user tries to launch it.

There is only 3-4 users out of 1500+ users who need access to this application and as per the current protocols, these users in question are not meant to have local admin access. However, their job needs them to use this poorly coded application that needs
local admin access.

So, I'm trying to find a solution on how to permanently grant admin access to just 1 specific application.

I have found a lot of online resources that show how an app can be run as an admin but that will only work till the time admin password does not change. I'm trying to find a better solution, if possible.

Any help/advise is greatly appreciated

As admin grant him required permissions to those folders (Read/Modify).

 

Settings can't be opened using the built-in administrator account

Unfortunately I have the same issue as Dabz from upgrading win7 to win10.
I've tried opening settings using all the suggested methods and it will not load using my account with Administrator access nor the built-in Administrator profile. I also tried other methods not listed such as using Run. Control panel is just a stepping stone to add users in Settings.
I'm also having explorer.exe issues, which I believe is preventing Settings from loading.
Using cmd (Admin) I successfully created a new user profile [and granted admin access also using cmd (Admin)], however win10 will not allow this account to log on. win10 does not list this new user within control panel but it does in the start menu. win10 will not allow to log in or switch to the new account via the start menu either.
I can access settings in Safe Mode but this will not allow me to create a new account.
Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
