Windows 10: Graphics card not compatible with my pc? What to do?

I already bought a better graphics card 2 years ago but I could never use it because we accidentally bought a graphics card that is compatible with Windows 7, it says so on the box.

I have Windows 10 and my question is if I can do anything to use this graphics card. Whenever I put this graphics card in my pc everything gets so big. You know what I mean . and I think this has to do with the fact that it is not compatible with my pc.

So, can you do anything about that?

Hi,

Your computer makes a noise or beeps from your internal speaker because it failed to detect the graphics card. What we can suggest is for you to try cleaning your graphics card with a pencil eraser. Here are the steps below:

• Turn your computer off.
• Pull out your video/graphics card.
• Rubbed the cold contacts with soft pencil eraser.
• Connect your video/graphics card back to the computer.

Kindly note that this is just a temporary fix. If the case still continues, I suggest that you contact your graphics card's manufacturer.

Graphics card compatibility with W10 upgrade

Thank you for your help Andre. I've done everything you recommend:

• I "uninstalled" NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 integrated display graphics adapter.
• The only display adapter listed in (devmgmt.msc) device manager now is the recently installed ASUS EAH 5450 graphics card.
• The update request on the manufacturer's web site says the display driver is the latest.

However, I still get the message that the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 display graphics has not been made compatible with W10.

What do you suggest?

I would suggest you to contact the manufacturer and see if the drivers are available for Windows 10.If the drivers are not available you can run the drivers for the graphics card in compatibility mode and see if it helps.

Now, to install in Compatibility Mode, follow these steps:

a. Locate the executable file (.exe file) for the driver installation program.

b. Right-click the file, and then click Properties.

c. In the Package Name Properties dialog box, click the Compatibility tab.

d. Click to select the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box, click Windows 8 with which it is compatible with in the Run this program in compatibility mode for list, and then click OK.

e. Double-click the executable file to start the installation program.
