  1. Gray static screen upon waking laptop (Windows 10 version 1809)

Every single time Windows updates, it causes a major problem that renders my computer completely unusable.

When I open my laptop and wake from sleep mode, the screen is a gray static pattern that will not go away. There is nothing I can do except manually force a shut down. This happens every single time on waking post-update.

The only way around this is to roll back the updates. I’ve had to do this every time Windows has done an automatic update.

But now I can’t even do that because it’s been more than 10 days since the update.

I need a permanent solution before I lose my mind.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  2. "Gray Screen of Death"

    Thanks for your informative post!

I had solved my 2D & gray screen issue using advice posted by erocker (see below)
Mainly it involves creating a profile and putting higher 2D clocks:

  3. Laptop with broken screen How much?

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
