    Original title : GTA Vice CIty DirectPlay problems......

    Ok, so before people suggest I check out the other posts...I already have. I decided to reinstall GTa:VC via Steam, been a while since I played it, and everything seems to install just fine. Then I try to run it...GTA:VC needs DirectPlay to run so I try
    to install it and I get a dialog box saying:

    "Windows couldn't complete the requested changes;

    The function attempted to use a name that is reserved for use by another transaction.

    error code 0x80071A90"

    So I look it up and find a little video about going throught the Start menu and enabling "Legacy" windows feature and try that...same error code. I've tried all the "compatibility settings and still no go. Does anyone have ideas?
