Windows 10: guidance running legacy products "Outlook Express" and "Genie Backup"

I have a Seagate eSATA external hard drive that contains data from several
years ago. To access the data under Windows 10, I will need to obtain current
versions of two "legacy" software products: 1 Outlook ExpressOE; 2 Genie
BackupGBM. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Windows 10 versions of
both products are available.

The OE data is stored in GBM files. Once I restore the OE data, I will need
to be able to read it into an OE session. So, after that rather lengthy
preamble, here's the crux of my question:

***What is necessary for me to open an OE account? I'm using an email client
called Thunderbird. The ISP is Spectrum. Ultimately, I'll probably need to
contact the vendors of both of those products, but I thought it might help
to get an opinion and guidance here first.

How to install outlook express on windows xp with explorer 8?

This was going to be my suggestion as well. I just wasn't sure if it worked with XP. It is definitely way better than Outlook Express, and I actually prefer it to regular Outlook as well.

 

I'm using dinosaur email-client in the form of Outlook Express 6.0

Follow the instructions below:

1. Shut down Outlook Express
2. Click [Start]
3. Select Find
4. Select Files or Folders
5. Enter the name of the corrupt folder. For example, inbox.dbx
6. Click [Search]
7. When search has found the folder, right-click on it and select rename
8. Call it inbox.old (where inbox is the original folder name)

When you restart Outlook Express, a new folder will be created. You will need to repeat the above steps for each folder that is corrupted. The folders used by Outlook Express are called:

• inbox.dbx
• outbox.dbx
• sent*items.dbx
• deleted*items.dbx
• drafts.dbx

In case nothing works you may take a look at
Outlook Express Online Service - it was specially created for any devices like phones, tablets, and etc.

 

Genie Media Server

Does anyone know the product code for Genie Media Server? I'm trying to uninstall it ... but it's not on my Programs and Features list. The Fixit utility asks me for the product number.
