    Is it possible to permanently delete windows 10 update assistant?

    I followed all the steps mentioned here. After uninstalling windows 10 update assistant I did a system wide search for windows 10 update assistant. An 877 byte short cut came up and I deleted it using the gutmann method

    Clean a hard drive

    I've always used Killdisk. I do DoD 5220.22M (a few hours) between formats and Gutmann (several days) if I am selling/giving the computer/harddrive away.
